I'm not the biggest fan, I think they're fine in Babylon but in SL I find them grating, the intro makes me sigh

Lmao I love the vocal chop sample though, its so catchy and it gets stuck in your head. Like when the song leaked, literally my brain was going "doo doo do doo, doo do do do"    it works, its one of the best things about Stupid Love.

Also, note that this album is described to be a 90s house record... there are quite a lot of vocal samples in house beats, so I'm SOOOOO here for it

These days, I listen to a lot of house and electronica (I'm honestly not much of a pop fan these days, but Gaga always brings me back) :lolly: vocal chops can  make or break a song depending on how they're used.

EXACTLY and it really complements Stupid Love, it makes the song go THERE which some songs never achieve

Because you think it makes it sound cheap when its actually the complete opposite :billie:

Right, not like there are thousands of already existing vocal chop sample packs to choose from when producing a quick little song. That's not cheap in any way.  :billie:

I love the vocal chops in Stupid Love, but it sounds annoying as **** in that ‘Babylon’ snippet. :stalkga:

I do love vocal chops if they are well used, I don't mind them on SL but a completly sung chorus would have slayed tbh

There isn't  :billie:   there isn't one popular song out there that uses the same vocal sample

Well maybe I could see your point if Gaga used the same vocal sample that is used by many artists. That would then make it cheap, but instead, she isn't. So therefore you can't call it cheap :billie:
