Lyzz the Monster 0
I'm really surprised when some people ask these questions because the reason is very simple: that's the way concerts work. People a.k.a. "casual fans" attend a single concert if they want to see certain artist. When they've seen Lady Gaga, that's it, they already saw her one single time in their lifes. I'm sorry for bringing Madonna again in the conversation but it's a great example of how shows and people's interest work. When Madonna came to South America after 15 years, she sold out 2/3/5 dates in every country she visited. If you compare that number of dates with the current tour you will see she's doing half shows in almost every city she visited 4 years ago and this goes for Europe too. Most people say you MUST see Madonna live at least one time in your life and that's what people do: they attend one show and they seem satsified, not because they didn't like the show or because they are tired of her. They just like some of her songs, they wanted to see how a real theatrical show was and they already experienced that. I'm not really sure how events like these are perceived in other countries, but shows like the Born This Way Ball are the BIG events in a country like mine (Argentina). If Lady Gaga comes back next year, she won't be able to fill a 20k stadium. Why? Because most of the River stadium this year will be filled with causal fans who know Poker Face and will like to talk on Monday about the event of the year with their friends, nothing more. If we understand this, and take into consideration the high prices for a "new" artist like her and the fact that she's coming back to Mexico after a 1 and a half (when most artist come back to Latin America every 4 years) then I think is completely fine that she is filling Foro Sol with "only" 40k people. If I'm not wrong, Britney had the same attendance when she played in Mexico with the Femme Fatale and you would expect a sold out from her because the last time she had been there was in 2002. Great explanation. I hate when people jumping on conclusions so quickly without any reasons.
Got Dynamite 0
Better than giving out 1.500 tickets at Renner hahaha. On true, that promotions just help the show. She will arrecadate the same, but quickly. Great explanation. I hate when people jumping on conclusions so quickly without any reasons. i agree
Lyzz the Monster 0
it is clear, Gaga has lost an enormous amount of GP with BTW, it is very clear What bothers me the most is the fact that she had a 100K+ audience last time she came to Mexico and now she doesn't even have half that. I mean, 40K is still VERY good but the decline from the last show that was barely a year ago is tremendous and I really don't know what reason there is for this. it is clear, Gaga has lost an enormous amount of GP with BTW, it is very clear Well, those 2 shows were in May 2011, when Born This Way and Judas were already released. She got the most ****storms and controversies for those two yet still managed to slay incredibly touring-wise. The BTW era basically ended in December 2011, I HIGHLY doubt those 6 months, which contained the release of The Edge of Glory, You and I, and Marry the Night, can sway away that many people. Those 100k people from last year were from THREE different dates, two of which weren't the city she's playing at right now. This time she's only doing 1 date and the stage is bigger so there goes a good % of the audience too, she played for 55k people with TMB, in this very same venue, if i'm not mistaken, and now she's playing for 40k, realistically she only lost 10-15k people of the audience which is impressive considering how polarizing and in-your-face the BTW era was, other acts could only dream of playing for 40,000 people after an era like BTW and the tour starting after a flop single and a whole year after the album even came out when everyone most likely already lost interest for the music, she's doing GREAT. no flops here AT ALL, only the ocassional overreactions from the same member and their ~*~*FLOPz ALERTTTT YALL!!!!1!!@!11! ~*~*
