Gaguita 0
What bothers me the most is the fact that she had a 100K+ audience last time she came to Mexico and now she doesn't even have half that. I mean, 40K is still VERY good but the decline from the last show that was barely a year ago is tremendous and I really don't know what reason there is for this. I'm really surprised when some people ask these questions because the reason is very simple: that's the way concerts work. People a.k.a. "casual fans" attend a single concert if they want to see certain artist. When they've seen Lady Gaga, that's it, they already saw her one single time in their lifes. I'm sorry for bringing Madonna again in the conversation but it's a great example of how shows and people's interest work. When Madonna came to South America after 15 years, she sold out 2/3/5 dates in every country she visited. If you compare that number of dates with the current tour you will see she's doing half shows in almost every city she visited 4 years ago and this goes for Europe too. Most people say you MUST see Madonna live at least one time in your life and that's what people do: they attend one show and they seem satsified, not because they didn't like the show or because they are tired of her. They just like some of her songs, they wanted to see how a real theatrical show was and they already experienced that. I'm not really sure how events like these are perceived in other countries, but shows like the Born This Way Ball are the BIG events in a country like mine (Argentina). If Lady Gaga comes back next year, she won't be able to fill a 20k stadium. Why? Because most of the River stadium this year will be filled with causal fans who know Poker Face and will like to talk on Monday about the event of the year with their friends, nothing more. If we understand this, and take into consideration the high prices for a "new" artist like her and the fact that she's coming back to Mexico after a 1 and a half (when most artist come back to Latin America every 4 years) then I think is completely fine that she is filling Foro Sol with "only" 40k people. If I'm not wrong, Britney had the same attendance when she played in Mexico with the Femme Fatale and you would expect a sold out from her because the last time she had been there was in 2002. Got Dynamite 0
Rio And now there's a new promotion at Riachuelo,so... Oh, i'm from SP (estate). Yeah, i think that will be like: 70k people from SP (you saw that the capacity gets higher, right?) 70k from Rio too. And 15k from POA (this date worries me a bit) I think it will be 155k public and 18 million + from arrecadation, looking at the prices. Got Dynamite 0
What's the capacity of the POA show? 30k Whats the thing with Riachuello? Riachuelo, if you buy a ticket, you win other. But Riachuelo buy the tickets from the normal price, and re-sell. So, in the boxscores, will count like if the people bought the 2 tickets. Don't worry about it. Riachuelo just did this to promote the name of the shop. Buy 1 ticket, take 2 But Riachuelo buy the tickets from the normal price, and re-sell.
