A girl asked on the company that is taking her there twitter why they aren't putting TV's commercials, e they answered that is because they sold almost all tickets. Guest Posted October 19, 2012 Share Posted October 19, 2012 (edited) I can actually still check the seating map and it appears that over 3500 tickets have been sold since yesterday morning, so that's huge! I really believe Gaga will have a sold-out show here. I can understand why they did not add a second date here, but I keep wondering why there's no show in Monterrey or Guadelajara, because she definitely could have sold out a 30.000 stadium show there like she did last time. I've also added the overall gross and attendance over the entire tour thus far so we can add up how popular she's getting. Isn't it impressive that after just 59 shows that have been calculated, she's already performed to over 1 million people? It's amazing what stadium dates and slightly increased ticket prices can do. At this rate, she'll never have to do a 200 dat tour ever again, except for a greatest hits tour or a farewell tour. Yes, that was indeed a typo - 13,000 each time. Sorry about that. Absolutely. I'm surprised that she hasn't got a date in Nebraska seeing as she'll be performing Y&I but I guess it would be much more difficult to sell out an 18,500 venue there now. Gaga's biggest demand is in the big cities - New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles. What with Gaga being the artist that she is, she doesn't always go down well in the deep south and middle America. Saying that, she did shows in Louisiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Texas, North Carolina, Utah, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Virginia. Texas was her most visited area in the south. And she's still doing shows in the more conservative states this time around, although it's only one show each. But for the most part, she's focusing on the more liberal states. I think this album was just a bit too much for conservative America. In addition, she's just doing all the big name arenas, she's not doing the smaller, less known ones. The well known ones mean better promotion and everyone wants the opportunity to see a big star like Gaga perform in say, MSG. By the way, have you got tickets for another date? Or are you stil holding out on the hope of a Colorado show? I definitely agree. Not to mention with BTW being almost 2 years old before she even starts the tour here doesn't make for much hype or anticipation for the casual listeners who would want to go, unless they really liked BTW the album. But I haven't got tickets for another date no = I would love to but the tour is smack dab during the Spring term, where I also will be working, and not to mention I have a friend in Texas but she lives in Austin (which GaGa's not even performing there) and a cousin in Cali, but she lives in the San Francisco area, which is just too far from LA for me to go to. It's just too difficult for me to try and go to a different city, especially since the closest city (Dallas) is around like 12 hours away. Unless I get exact figures, I'll just put a plus sign against them, so there could be far more sold. And I know a lot of them also have a 0% beside them but that does not mean that they haven't sold at all - it just means that I can't find any information about them. As always, we have to wait until Billboard gives us the final standings. As we've seen before, even when we thought a concert was completely sold out, it wasn't in the technical sense. She had been overexposed there and they needed a break from her. I think the idea was to make them wait and realise how much they missed her and make all the fans be begging for her to come back, so that she'd break presale records. I know the tickets are selling better than I've claimed here - I just can't find any information about them. That's sad that you still haven't got tickets. But there's so many other people that are in your exact position, so you're far from being the only one. At least you can still buy the DVD. Really, we're so lucky to live where we are - our countries are always visited by artists on tour. It must be awful to live on a Pacific island or the middle of Africa when you're a huge fan of someone and know that they'll never come to your hometown and you always have to travel to see a show. I'm impressed with Gaga for trying out lots of regions that she's never visited before and provided excitement for its residents but at the same time, this means that she's missed out on performing in some of her old haunts. Here's hoping the ARTPOP tour will support a much more successful album so we can have a tour that'll please as many people as possible.
