misunderstood 8,736
I remember being on tumblr in July 2013 and seeing a comparison that said "Your World: My World" It had the earth and the Inez & Vinnodh promo photo. Then going to littlemonsters.com and seeing the announcement, I'll never forget it Radio ARTPOP was one of my most favorite things during the ARTPOP era thank you @Timmers and I Technically have 6 CDs of ARTPOP, 1 opened, 1 japan edition, and 4 unopened CDs purchased in 2013 "I'd rather be poor and happy, than rich and alone"

2School4Cool 6,449
Absolutely. It’s one of my absolute favorite albums, in a world of cookie cutter pop, ARTPOP is a breath of fresh air. Dope and Gypsy were two of the first songs I ever learned to play on piano. I was lucky enough to see the artRAVE: the ARTPOP Ball with my grandparents, they both loved it and my grandma knew about every word by heart. I also remember watching on twitter every night to see the new updates from each show. I have the foil CD and vinyl, and I hardly ever bring the CD in my car because if someone broke into my car I wouldn’t want it to be stolen because I consider it an irreplaceable prized possession, not only with the foil cover but with DWUW . I remember for months after it came out, I would just sit and stare at the foil cover, I thought it was so pretty, I was mesmerized. I changed my GGD profile picture and name to P!nk since I love her and thought it was more unique, but my first profile pic on here was from the artRAVE and I was initially named ILoveAGypsyLife because that’s my favorite song. not Chromatica 5,393
I love how the majority of y'all is like "I spent this much money on it and I have this many collectibles, therefore I'm a stan." To me it's all about the philosophy of ARTPOP which I (try to) live and propagate to this day. It's about instinctive self-expression/exploration and connection to other creative minds. It contains all the dualities of life – really, it's about everythin and N-E-thing. Then there's the concept which, as flawed and incomplete as it was, is still one of the most ambitious and daring expeditions within pop. I have several timelines in my mind where she managed to fully realize it and then went on to explore and focus on different aspects. But in that incompleteness lies its uniqueness. Because the mission of ARTPOP was never fulfilled as intended, a lot of us have taken it upon ourselves to do so, and in that way ARTPOP will go on forever. Not to mention the fashion of that era was decades ahead of its time. It really was ethereaaAAAaa(...)aaAAL!
