:usrs: If you didn't know I stan for MJ. There's a little but not a lot to notice. Go look at a Beiber song.

Why would I look at a Bieber song?

I really don't know where to post this, so, since it is primarily related to what many people consider to be the sub-par chart performance of the overall Born This Way Era, I thought I'd post it in here. I know this kind of thing has been discussed many a time before, but I seldom participated in those discussions before, and it's been on my mind for quite some time now. Does my version of the era seem plausible?

1st Single - Born This Way

Release Date - February 13, 2011

Promo - 60 Minutes interview, performance on the Grammy Awards, etc.

Music Video Premiere - February 28, 2011. The video would be the same as the one that was actually released.

Billboard Hot 100 - #1

Digital Songs - #1

Radio Songs - #1

Pop Songs - #1

2nd Single - The Edge of Glory

Release Date - May 9, 2011

Promo - performances on BBC Radio Weekend, SNL, American Idol Finale, GMA Concert Series, etc.

Music Video Premiere - June 6, 2011. The concept would be much more involving and less laid back. Think a typical GaGa music video.

Billboard Hot 100 - #3

Digital Songs - #1

Radio Songs - #3

Pop Songs - #3

May 23, 2011 - Born This Way, the album, is release.

3rd Single - Scheiße

Release Date - August 15, 2011

Promo - 2011 VMA's, iHeartRadio Festival, etc.

Music Video Premiere - August 22, 2011

Billboard Hot 100 - #5

Digital Songs - #3

Radio Songs - #1

Pop Songs - #1

4th Single - Marry The Night

Release Date - November 14, 2011

Promo - 2011 EMA's, A Very GaGa Thanksgiving (The full performance!), Jingle Ball (KISS + Z100), Ellen, etc.

Video Premiere - December 1, 2011. The video would be exactly the same.

Billboard Hot 100 - #7

Digital Songs - #7

Radio Songs - #5

Pop Songs - #5

End of single releases. Start Born This Way Ball in February or March of 2012.

3rd Single - Scheiße

Billboard Hot 100 - #5

Digital Songs - #3

Radio Songs - #1

Pop Songs - #1

I doubt think Scheiße would be #1 on radio. Maybe not even Top5. And Scheiße being #1 with The Edge Of Glory just #3? I don't believe it, radio would rather play TEOG.

Anyway, it's not that different from what we got.

If the faux German in the beginning was cut down significantly, I see no reason for it not to go #1 on radio. The Edge Of Glory would have been, and actually was, blocked by Party Rock Anthem (and a few other songs). That being said, Scheiße could also have been blocked by, say, Someone Like You. However, I feel that Scheiße is a little more radio friendly than The Edge Of Glory, if only because of its more club-oriented instrumentation, which would thus justify me placing it at #1 on Radio Songs.

The Edge of Glory would have debuted at 1 if it had been the official second single.

Def.

And an epic video would have made it #1 again.

Whenever Taylor Swift releases an album, it's like a disease infested iTunes nightmare.
