WarriorPrince 1
Yeah, like listen to her single choices and not release songs that the public will perceive as Satanic Born This Way, Marry the Night, Scheisse, The Edge of Glory>>>>>>>>>>>> Born This Way, Judas, The Edge of Glory, You&I, Marry the Night Totally. But wasnt Y&I Gaga's choice?
Blank Space 0
I have no idea... It comes across as if they're really cheap, lazy, or don't give a f*ck. The biggest challenge this next era will probably be her battle with her label. I hope and pray they will be willing to cooperate with her. Yeah, like listen to her single choices and not release songs that the public will perceive as Satanic Born This Way, Marry the Night, Scheisse, The Edge of Glory>>>>>>>>>>>> Born This Way, Judas, The Edge of Glory, You&I, Marry the Night I guess Interscope wanted to milk all money they can from her so they spawned singles like non stop :)
Arturo 40,746
Totally. But wasnt Y&I Gaga's choice? No. Gaga said on LM that she just wanted BTW,MTN,Scheisse, and TEOG

Her fans had a rally or something for her to escape Interscope. And with Marry The Night, they didn't do crap to help that song.
Arturo 40,746
I guess Interscope wanted to milk all money they can from her so they spawned singles like non stop :) It's not really about the amount they released. 5 singles isn't really that much different from 4 singles for a Pop album. It's about what they released and how they released it.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Totally. But wasnt Y&I Gaga's choice? ugh.......no, even in pre- BTW album era in one interview she said the Y&I would never be single It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
heavymlover 340
You & I was a good single choice, imo. Yeah, the fans were sick of it after listening to that song at the MB many times, but it had a pretty decent success in the US and it brought her a wider adult audience. If anything, Sheisse was the song that should've been released instead of MTN. No other song in BTW is as radio friendly, possibly with the exception of Hair. A good choice after Judas bombed. Gaga's plan was much better. If MTN climbed to #29 as a 5th single, imagine as a 2nd single?

Apart from booking several performances on Alan Carr, Ellen, Grammy Nominations, The EMA's, and the Bambi awards, released and promoted a remix of the song to radio stations, and set her up as the star of the 2012 Ball Drop..they did absolutely nothing. chris777 112
I think she said it, to please the fans. She seems really interested in Judas as she seems for MTN, just that both songs failed to achieve commercial success. MTN would have failed as second/third single, the song is not that good or catchy.

I love MTN, is just not the typical Gaga song with a catchy hook and catchy lyrics, which makes me think that it would've been better as a fan song rather than a widely-exposed song. The best decision they made through the whole era was to make TEOG a single in my opinion. As soon as I heard it, I knew it wasn't promotional single material. But yeah, Interscope screwed up the whole era with their single choices.
Arturo 40,746
MTN would have failed anyways, the song is not that good or catchy. Speak for yourself :laughga:

It is a right single choice, it just shouldn't be the second single.
