I dont get it, why are people saying that the new RIAA streaming rules only count US streams when:

Bad Romance: 5M sales - 500M WW views = 5M sales

10x certified

Baby: 3.9M sales - 856M WW views = 8.6M sales

12x certified

It is only US views, because you're only looking at views and they take into account Spotify etc

So Rihanna doesn't have flops anymore also? I assume her MV YT views are also high.

She still has some flops, I think. A couple of her songs failed to enter the Hot 100, so I really doubt that the new rule will help them.

I wonder, would Billboard count the Glee Version's sales in with the original's sales like they do for a remix of a song?

Really surprised with Selena's performance. I remember the song tanking on its debut week

I know we all want ARTPOP to slay, but realistically, what is your practical hope for ARTPOP's success? I think I'd be happy with the following.

1st single: #1, 4-4.5 million sold, >115 million AI

2nd single: #3, 3-3.5 million sold, >100 million  AI

3rd single: #5, 2.5-3 million sold, >90 million AI

4th single: somewhere from #6-10, 2-2.5 million sold, >80 million AI

Album: #1, 2 million copies sold

But of course I wouldn't be complaining one bit if all the singles went #1, diamond, etc.
