Gaga shouldn't use promo singles.

She CAN make an impact on singles charts without such clutter and over-kill, she just needs to release strong videos again.

So true! :cryga:

Wow, Adele is doing good but not NEARLY as good as everyone thought.

The only star to meet expectations this year has really been Taylor Swift.

How do you reconcile A and B.

Weren't we thinking Taylor was becoming less relevant (including you) until her blitzkrieg of promo singles hit? If that "clutter and overkill" is a sign of success for Taylor, why not Gaga do it too?

It costs fans nothing with complete my album, It looks good on the single chart. It signals success to marginal followers of an artist.

Honestly, I don't mind Gaga getting a couple of U.S top 10's from just promo singles. It won't hurt, so I'm pro-promo singles :haha:

I'd rather Gaga do promo singles. It's not like they're being released to radio and its a good way to judge which song should be the next single.

Bieber and Guetta are both collaborations with blacks - which means the top 16 on Rhythmic all feature blacks.

Ellie was #1 radio song overall not long ago.

Which shows that despite the PC name change to "urban" and "rhythmic" a couple decades ago, they still see themselves are black radio playing black artists rather than music with a certain sound.

PS: The Billboard rule chances made PSY #1 on rap songs, sparking some racial controversy discussed here:

hmmm, how curious. :teehee:

well, since radio is "push", i guess it's all up to the DJ, but i'm curious about what rhythmic actually is tbh. is it just urban tracks or like straight up RnB/Rap?

and since radio is push, there will be filtering because if you have black DJs that come from black culture, they are 654919.815% less likely to know who Psy is so they won't play it. idk, it's iffy.

Gaga could even get a #1 from a promo single

I'm actually scared that there won't be any promo singles this time around.
