NO. they vote for Bernie because they haven't been brainwashed by the media. Y'all support this?

"By all measures, Sanders was ahead of his time in supporting gay rights. In 1983, as mayor of Burlington, he signed a Gay Pride Day proclamation calling it a civil rights issue. He was one of just 67 members in the House of Representatives to vote against the Defense of Marriage Act, a politically tough decision he prides himself on and points to as a key progressive bona fide. Sanders opposed Don’t Ask Don’t Tell in 1993, another President Bill Clinton-era policy, and supported civil unions in Vermont in 2000."

BERNIE HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOR THE PEOPLE. NOT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT.

"One of 67 people"

There was a thread today about Bernie being anti gay marriage in 2016.

He avoided for years to answer on gay marriage.

So he is basically like almost every democrat on gay rights.

But believe what u want. U have your opinion that others have been brainwashed. Other have that opinion about u. :selena:

Cant believe the discussions that I have here when the title is "kamala endorses Biden". :saladga:

i like how you're happy about this. the DNC just cancelled the upcoming debate (b/c bernie would have dragged biden on his track record) over corona virus grounds. if hillary got roasted during debates do you think this dementia patient who can barely string two words together and can't differentiate between his wife and sister is going to win the election for you all.

They haven't been cancelled, though it was changed to a town hall format. Probably will serve to benefit Biden somehow. Bernie will squash him either way - unfortunately, the next debate is on the 15th and the next elections are on the 10th, so it may be too late to turn this around if Bernie underperforms. He needs to win Michigan. We'll see.

As late as 2006 Bernie was not in favor of federal marriage equality.

Finish line to Trump dragging him to defeat :billie:. You could always blame Bernie for loosing the elections. That's the same old narrative you all used when Hillary lost.

I didn’t back Hillary actually but go off.

Tuition prices for college have sky rocketed in the past 2 decades there is no reason why our youth should be thrown into the workforce with a crippling amount of debt because they want to be successful. It sets up our new working class for failure and its putting us behind the other countries who see this and have free college or cheap tuition.

:reductive: go to community or public college. Nobody is forcing you to be a Gender Studies major at a private liberal arts university. Or skip college and become an electrician, real estate agent, etc!!

Sorry, but a lot of us just fundamentally don’t believe everyone needs to go to college for FREE. Also making it FREE will devalue the achievement of college education. The govt shouldn’t cancel the debt of people’s bad career decisions, that’s like bailing out the big banks that Bern hates. Instead, we should promote vocational training & increase federal financial aid, as it currently does not help very much to anyone making more in the middle class bracket. I’m sorry but as someone who worked their tail off to keep almost perfect grades and pull good testing scores, I find it ABSURD that students who never tried should get a free education when I put in tireless work to receive generous financial aid packages for college. College is NOT that big of a financial burden if you are a high achieving student that belongs in higher education.

I was early conflicted between Beto, Harris and Warren ig all summer (also rooted for underdogs Gillibrand and Bennet technically) -> undecided for the fall -> Team Pete since Nov/Dec -> now Ridin with Biden.

So basically telling someone that can’t afford a 4 year institution should consider community college or a public college as an alternative. That’s your recommendation to people with less resources and opportunities? As someone who has their Bachelors and Masters degrees, I’ve witnessed firsthand how people accumulated tons of debt courtesy of student loans. Even with stellar grades, financial aid, scholarships and grants only go so far. You should know that better than anyone. I had all of that and you want to know what happened when the recession was becoming more of a reality back in 2007-2008? The state cancelled my grants because they didn’t have enough funding to maintain them. Thankfully I only had my senior year left. At the end of the day, you can never assume anything about people’s finances. Not everyone has easy access to the same resources you may have had when you’re in college. It’s a much different environment now then it was several years ago.
