Then time lapsed pictures showing him spending the rest of his life in prison growing older until he dies there. That's the next scene after raping a woman while she is unconscious with anesthesia. Thankfully I can separate the art from the artist and I can appreciate a song, a music video, a book, a cartoon or a video game that is actually appealing, regardless of the morality of their creators, and I believe that not watching or buying a record is not the only way to be moral. The legal system can take its course and we can advocate against the transgressions, but that doesn’t mean we need to pretend like songs by artists who were discovered to have done terrible things, suddenly stopped sounding good, because that’s a lie. We need to get out it that mentality of “I don’t wanna associate my name with this” because it’s ridiculous. We all pay for our own mistakes, not for the mistakes of others just because once upon a time, we happened to work with them, knowingly or unknowingly.
