I'm not a Taylor hater. I love her a lot. I agree she has sold more and earned more than Gaga. But it's foolish to think she's made even half the impact Gaga has. When Gaga debuted, she wasnt merely a musician, she was a movement, a PHENOMENON, that has only solidified over the years. Taylor is extremely talented and smart but she simply doesn't have the charisma Gaga has.

It takes a lot to maintain a career for  14 years and still remain one of the biggest if not the biggest female artist. And I'm not just stating an opinion, I'm stating facts that I can backup with numbers, awards, broken records etc.

Yeah Gaga's peak was bigger but Tay's peak was still bigger than many other artists, even bigger than Gaga in some years.

Bottom of the story is, Gaga and Tay wouldn't still remain relevant all those years if they both didn't have that special thing.

I honestly don't remember any kind of impact Madonna has made last year. Beyonce is respected as a modern icon but there's nothing socially significant that she did last year. Taylor Swift tho, I would understand.

How would you explain the fact that the very list we're arguing over mentions Taylor for being a silence breaker, and not "Taylor Swift"?

I would once again like to add that I love her and I don't want to fight but I would still say that Lady Gaga is more influential than her even though she debuted two years after her. I guess its just my opinion.
