In both situations, people produced content for a select audience. In one case, it's for the person's romantic partner, in the other, for people who subscribe to their account. The expectation when producing that content is that it's for the intended audience only unless otherwise specified. And when it comes to OnlyFans specifically, you are directly taking away someone's job and income by leaking this content; even when content is leaked from major studios, it hurts people's jobs, but in this case you're completely destroying an individual person's ability to earn income from their job. You wouldn't walk into a deli and grab and eat a sandwich in front of the workers there when you know it would come out of their paycheck, so why do this? As someone who considered doing sex work when homeless, I'm embarrassed by the attitude of most of the people in this thread. Those are human beings trying to feed themselves behind those cameras. Meaning that the fans that are subbed to a "model", are there with the intention of getting a constant source of more content from the specific model. Meaning that theres no reason for the leaked content to drive already subbed people away. Theyre not there to grab some pics and walk away. The leaked content will only be consumed by people who werent going to pay anyway. With this leak, people who enjoy a certain model, but aren't hung up on constantly having a new stream of content, could just download the leak, unsubscribe, and there goes the revenue. I can see what you're saying in that a leak does offer the opportunity to attract more subscribers, but the reality is that smart content creators already have unpaid teasers to draw in fans, and this leak just allows the more casual fans to just grab the free illegally leaked content and unsubscribe.
