But, at 1am EST last night, the MV had gotten 1m views, was #1 in iTunes in multiple markets, and massive radio stations from Hits 1, Z100, Radio1, and more confirmed on Twitter that they'd be spinning it all day today. She was at the top of the most played playlists on all platforms, positive media poured in, and... I don't get the sentiment here. Not saying it is bad. I just think it is clearly going to smash the charts this week; how it does longterm, and how well her followups do is talk for another time. YouTube is a declining platform (unless you're from Latin America ), but for a lead single, I was expecting bigger numbers first day. Maybe it will serve longevity which is better.
