Guest
Bad Bunny wore a skirt and a shirt that read, in Spanish, “They killed Alexa, not a man in a skirt.” The statement was a response to the recent murder of Alexa Negrón Luciano, a trans woman in Puerto Rico whose violent death has sparked fresh outrage about the commonwealth’s homophobia. Bad Bunny’s late-night stop follows his appearance at the Super Bowl 2020 Halftime Show alongside J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira. He shared “Ignorantes” in mid-February along with a video. He released the song “6 Rings” as a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at the end of January. After releasing X 100PRE in late 2018, Bad Bunny joined J Balvin on the collaborative album OASIS last June. He deserves all the success he is getting. 1.5 Million views on that performance. 1.5 million people know a transwoman was murdered and her name was Alexa. We need more LGBTQ+ allies who aren't afraid of how their careers might suffer for being allies.
