It's always unexpected. You can look at DWUW, Hey Girl, A-YO (bc of Mark Ronson stuff), and even Tony. She took very strong influence from him but still changed many songs from the way he originally sang them to her own style. Maybe I'll like it, maybe I won't. But there's someone out there who didn't care about Gaga's music but liked BP and might now look into her which makes me happy. Same for the other way round. I think it's a bit unproductive to call some acts or styles "lower" than others because people have said the same stuff about Gaga and pop music in general. Maybe BLACKPINK actually is full of creativity and talent and they're waiting to show it but their labels don't allow them the freedom. The only one I can think of that is really manufactured was Britney Spears. But generally, western acts have talent to back it up. Gaga, XTina, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Adele... and people in bands if we are comparing band for band... Harry Styles, Camila Cabello, all of Little Mix, Kelly Rolland... They all had talent. I don't see it from any KPop group. The collab doesn't need to be her next big ballad or pop record, but Gaga has collaborated with the likes of Beyonce, Florence Welsh, Tony Bennett, Kendrick Lemar... these are legends interms of talent in their respective fields. The Ariana collab is different because I know they both have had insane amount of respect for eachother for many years. I reckon there will be some deeper cuts that are more experimental, but Gaga doesn't have to be experimental all the time. Stupid Love is still very much a Gaga track, and its far from being generic. This album will be comparable to The Fame in the sense that its very commercial, but its sound will be totally different from whats out there today and will be very fresh and new sounding, not generic. I feel like it will be more album track-like than single but it will still be a slay. I just get this feeling her team will go IN on Asia promo like its 2009/10 again. They need that market back. If she performs with BTS and other local artists and spends a few weeks there.
