DrewPa 3,762 Posted March 8, 2020 Share Posted March 8, 2020 My 2 cents: Gaga is not doing massive promo because she has strong ideas for the singles to come and for all the Chromatica concept. we all like to give everything a name or a “title” while it isnt necessarily the case. For instance we are used to define the first single out an album as “The Lead”. But, what if SL is NOT The lead. Not all first songs are the lead... My guess is she is working keeping “The Fame” in mind: I am certain when Just Dance was released everybody at interscope and her management, Gaga included, knew other songs were far stronger, but they need a cute and simple song with a catchy tune and easy lyrics to let the GP know the new diva in town, saving the best for last. of course, she made A LOT of promo for JD, but it was another time, another Gaga. I think the SL is not the lead, it’s the “teaser”, which by the way explains why she wasn’t too concerned about the leak Personnally, I love SL, but I still think the best has still to come, and everybody at Interscope knows that, for I see no stress on their side whatsoever (for once). Will they be available again? Also, is the 'no purchase necessary' link legit for the pre-sale? I think that if that was the case, they wouldn't necessarily be promoting it as much as they have been. If it's not the lead, but sort of like a promo or teaser, then why promote it so much? SL is the lead. And while I agree that her best as yet to come, I feel like this mindset is just straight-up denial. It's getting amazing radio play and playlisting. She's probably saving it all for the album release and then the weeks after. I definitely think she will be going Japan.
