It's the last opportunity candidates will have to make their pitch on a national stage before Saturday's critical South Carolina primary election — and the last one before voters in 16 states and territories go to the polls on Super Tuesday, March 3. It could hurt him with women, no matter how it is explained, but media trying to project an essay written 40 years ago as the same as bloomberg harassing women in our lifetimes and still being unrepentant + not releasing people from NDAs over it and more... would be a disservice The only thing that would shock me is Warren protecting Bernie. They're all going after him, and the talking points are all over the wall (Third Way literally had documents leaked that showcased some of them) and like usual, their surrogates preview attacks: In summary: Bloomberg: "Bernie's problematic, I'm further left than him on guns, etc. Try to drop oppo research live on air and make people gasp or w.e" Warren: "Bernie yells and has mean supporters, maybe even bring up Ben Mora getting axed, I actually get stuff done like the CFPB, so if you're a progressive and want to get stuff done, come with me" (she might try another #WhiteFeminist attack as well with the rape essay and try to get a zinger in about how she disagreed the first time etc.) Klob: Honestly idk and idc how she attacks Bernie. She's pretty much over, all she's got is "your plans will never work!" Pete: Bernie's polarizing, praising castro, "what about Florida!!!" - evil socialist that will lose us the election to Trump, dark money groups like the Sunshine Mvt + Our Revolution, etc. Desperate money pitch because his camp is almost bankrupt at this point going into super tuesday. Biden: Bernie tried to primary Barack (false), maybe something unexpected about Bernie's moratorium on Deportations to try to get Latino support Steyer: Same attacks as Pete/Warren. Kind of a wild card. There will be some kind of push back against his "here's how I pay for it!" but Bernie was smart to do it this late unlike Warren whose plan was ravaged.
