it's alright :poot: but here's more info

"Free healthcare is provided by the Sultanate to all Omani citizens, as well as expats from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This covers primary care, specialist appointments, and almost all medical treatments as needed."

https://www.expat.com/en/guide/middle-east/oman/19082-the-healthcare-system-in-oman.html

Sorry to be ****, but free of charge is a dangerous expression.

Well, no system can be free. Doctors and nurses come at a cost, medical equipment does as well. They don't work for free (and they shouldn't).

So the question is not "is it free?", but "who pays?". In many Arabic countries (not only them of course) the source is primarily  companies, in those case for oil. Oil companies in Oman can have a tax rate of 55%. And that's a LOT of money.

Obviously if individuals have no tax we can say most of the people can use healthcare without paying, but it's not "free".

Of course I'm not saying that one country's system is bad or good (also because it's never 100% wrong or right), but someone has to pay!

Sorry if I sound bad!

I wasn't implying that healthcare is free of charge for the government, of course hospitals, staffs, Equipment medicine etc have their costs. What I meant is that for us the citizens it's free. Also why all these sorries :air: you're on a forum it's fine you can share your opinion freely

Oh, thanks!

I've heard this "healthcare care is free" so many times while traveling that I was worried to hear it again:ohno:

I met people in Italy who think that healthcare is free and they have taxes for individuals:selena:

I'm glad you can use such a great healthcare (Americans can't relate:toofunny:), even though  is based on oil companies... But that's another story

Something you can’t image. They looks like drowning until they cannot breath anymore. It’s normal that a whole family was wiped out by this virus. Child lost their parents overnight.

I know it's serious...But thank's for reassure us all

Thank you for saying this. It’s never brought up. It’s always “it’s not that bad, guys.”

There isn’t an antiviral that would treat covid-19 while Tamiflu, an antiviral, treats influenza.

literally... i just don't have time to argue with ignorance. the coronavirus may also mutate over time to become stronger. we could very well have another sars outbreak according to the current trajectory and our healthcare systems are extremely underfunded and lack proper infrastructure so good luck to us.

strains of ebola were circulating in central africa since the 90's and look at how that just snuck up on them and it was too late by the time it had spread en masse.

Excuse me but idk where you read that you need a 24h supervision in a hospital to cure from it but that's just pure false.

You don't die from coronavirus if ur a random young healthy dude even if u got sick u have more chance to win the superloto than dying from it

416 children got sick from the coronavirus in china the 416 childrens are still alive and almost all of them are cured.

You have to stop.

34y iin ICU in Italy. Marathon runner

20y nurse in ICU in Japan. Got infected while working

There are many like these, obviously this is nothing like H1N1 strain from 1918

Media are so bored and have no tea to spill those days they have to make the coronavirus seems like it's the end of the world and it's crazy how people can be influenced by media

Only very old peoples are dying from it and almost everybody is cured without any vaccin.
11/12 personns cured naturaly in France and one people died he was 80+
The same in Italy only 80+ years old people are dying from this and it's the same around the world.

People are scared from this ? i'm more scared when someone smoke in front of my face or when i'm forced to eat that **** from mcdonalds.

Disease got to those countries last month, while it’s been in China since November.

Imagine all bed in a hospital are occupied by COVID-19 patients, what about everyone who had a heart attack? cancer? broke a leg?

If you only have 12 cases in a country of millions, then medical attention will be completely focused on them.

Theres a lot of downplaying and I don’t really know what unreliable media you like to follow
