Thoughts like this are also considered suicidal thoughts. It’s one of the many things I learned from my therapist. You don’t have to take my advice at all. I understand that from our past responses to each other. But, really help is there and you don’t have to feel ashamed for using those services. Oh it was just a cynical comment I made (that I shouldnt have posted tbh lol). I do struggle with mental health but I try to always be aware of my thoughts, sometimes can't help it when it's so negative (and media can exacerbate that for me). I appreciate that comment tho because it's important to always be aware of these type of thoughts, to me it's normal because I get cynical and negative sometimes but you're right. It's not normal and shouldn't be seen as normal. But for those who get overwhelmed by it should definitely seek help. This attitude some of you are having aka “THE WORLD WILL END” is not welcome in situations like these. World went through many epidemics like this one and eventually it stopped. Also to people saying “masks don’t help” - they do. But masks are not enough. People need to stay away from crowded areas, people need to wash their hands 10 times a day, not to eat at public places, etc. You can’t expect mask to work when you don’t wash your hands or when you eat at the restaurants that has capacity of 400 people. Just be calm and take care of yourself. Add some tips here: As someone who lives in China, please do wash your hands with hand soap as frequently as you can.
