That's the funniest thing about #Russiagate. Liberal media propped it up like it was going into people's voting booths and changing votes, when the bulk of the actual money spent was making shitty memes that were of a buff bernie (in bernie's case) or pro trump, and arguing with people online. Things like the Washington Post reporting that Russia is trying to help get Sanders the nomination without examples of what kind of interference it is are MUCH more politically damaging to our elections outcomes than that. The Iowa Caucus halting reporting the results of the vote and trickling them out over a days and into a week did a lot more to undermine our faith in free and fair elections than Russia did, especially since we know the results we have that are "official" are literally wrong because people took records of them It's really funny and sad to me, but its also not surprising when I would wager 90% of this country knows jack **** about foreign policy beyond a vague notion of "Russia bad, China bad, North Korea bad, Middle East bad, America + Europe Good" and they insert movie-level drama to any foreign ideas or realities of different governments, political systems, and cultures. These people have zero credibility & I don’t understand people who cherrypick what the intelligence community says and trusts one thing they say unequivocally and say the other thing was clearly a lie. The fact that WaPo didnt disclose what kind of info was even being considered "interference" either... This is an intelligence agency who would likely consider a pro Bernie Sanders Ad being run in Russia as interference if they needed to It's really one of the most frustrating part of progressive politics, that so many people have no idea how foreign policy works, our own history of lies and obfuscation by our intelligence agencies, the regime change and proxy wars, the coups, the increased surveillance state that BOTH parties have signed onto repeatedly, etc. There is plenty of reason to be skeptical of them because they have notoriously lied about this kind of thing. Hell, we already know that - hate Trump or not - many of the "He's a russian asset!" speculation claims about him turned out to be ENTIRELY false. Pee Tape? Well there is many countries in the Middle East and alot of them hate each other. America bombs half of them, and are allies with the other half. The main players are Iran (Russia) vs Saudi (America). Iran controls many countries like Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. So when these countries are attacked by America, alot of Middle Eastern governments are happy!! By the way, Trump is funded by Saudi through his hotels! This is confirmed information but nobody talks about it.
