An excerpt on the Orwellian: What’s more, as well as being a word that is overused, over-stretched and hotly disputed, Orwellian is further complicated because it has two contradictory strands of meaning. It is both a compliment and an insult. If you call a person an Orwellian, they generally like it. If, however, you refer to something they’re doing as Orwellian – and by extension a bit like all that horrible stuff in Nineteen Eighty-Four – odds are you aren’t aiming for their Christmas card list. Throwing the bully word without any substance. How original. Classic victim mentality Bernie won the popular vote on both counts. That should satisfy you. He leads Pete on votes. That's enough for me. Sing C'est la vie

But how can you ignore the RESULTS. This is ORWELLIAN. This is GASLIGHTING. The FACTS: Pete won Iowa (although Bernie won the popular vote) Bernie won New Hampshire (he got more votes but the margin was so close they both got 9 delegates) Anything else is a LIE. Pete got TWO MORE NATIONAL DELEGATES in Iowa They both got 9 national delegates in NH The winner of the primary is determined by national delegates They were literally all asked about this, and Bernie Sanders said LAST NIGHT, “I think the person with the most national delegates at the end of this should be the Dem nominee.” Unless Bernie is gas lighting you too.... Dude, he's talking about the entire number of delegates. We are discussing individual state elections. Pete won Iowa, which is a caucus. Bernie won New Hampshire, which is a primary, decided by actual votes. But they both got 9 delegates since it was a win with a small margin. Pete has 22 delegates, and Bernie 21, as of right now, according to Google.

Originally the argument was that Pete got more SDE's. By whole number count, Pete and Bernie received the same number of SDE's. If you go to the second decimal place, Pete has so far received .08 of 1 SDE more than Bernie. Additionally, there was another recount request, so the notion of talking about who won or lost Iowa in a definitive nation is just negligence.
