But as of recently the album Pageant Materiel has hit so so different where it seems as though to me the album is near perfection and some of the most relatable music i've ever heard. The songs I love the absolute most are: Dime Store Cowgirl, Pageant Material, Biscuits, Somebody To Love, Miserable, Die Fun, Family is Family, Good Ol Boys Club, and Cup Of Tea I think I relate most to the bolded songs the most and it just has kind of clicked how incredible and genius this album is and I have realized a new love and deep appreciation for Kacey what do you guys think of this album? She was unafraid to tackle controversial topics on them (for the country community) and while she toned it down a bit for Pageant Material, she still had her trademark edge there. But with Golden Hour, it just seemed she wanted to write an album about being in love and not much else. I get it, she got married and all but to have the most controversial thing she says on the album being that her grandma went mad when she pierced her nose left me bitterly disappointed. And that nu-disco sound she tried to do with High Horse was awful. She's still released consistently good music but its taken a downturn and it's so ironic that Golden Hour was the one that made more people sit up and take notice.
