I think the album is a grower. Those of you who don't like it I recommend that you listen to it a bit more.

Sis, High Road's peak IS 7. It didn't debut at #1 on Billboard.

She went from having a #1 with Rainbow to having a #7 with High Road, which is what they were referring to.

It was #1 and now #7? Hows that a flop?

I think she did good for being Ke$ha.

It was never #1. It debuted and peaked at #7.

I love her, I even own her first 2 albums on CD, but the music is just really really bad... so sorry about what happened to her but still she could make good music...

I think bc it mostly sounds outdated. Yes, she wanted to mix sounds of old Ke$ha and her new self but imo it didn't work out as most of it belongs to mid-2010s at most. Don't get me wrong, I bop to the singles ( + Shadow ), but the rest ain't it for me

Ew, David!

Her core fan base isn’t very large, and without a hit to drive the album the flop was to be expected. Warrior did modest numbers despite Die Young being a hit, Rainbow’s sales were correct thanks to Praying and attention from media. She’s never been a streaming artist, and failed to appeal to the masses with the sound/aesthetic she went for.

Doesnt mean High Road is bad. Definitely my least favorite work of hers tho, I’m not into the country songs of this one, but I loved the ones on Rainbow.

The rollout and promotion for it was a bit odd and dragged out, Rainbow did wonderfully, so it is a little weird. I will say as a fan that I think that Rainbow is the better album in many ways.

Everyone who says this album is bad, don't have taste :ohwell:

I looked it up, and it actually has a higher Metacritic score than all Gaga albums except The Fame Monster and A Star Is Born:ohwell:

The real reason why this MASTERPIECE of an album is flopping, is because there was no promo at all. On top of that, Kesha has been fading since 2014. Even Rainbow only sold 90.000 copies.

Honestly, people don't care about Kesha. Rainbow happened during her sob-story, that's why it had some success

People simply moved on from here, this is what happens with all female artists (and artists in general) at one point or another. I think people blaming the quality itself are pretty naive. Good music doesn't translate into succes most of the time and the reverse, bad music doesn't always do bad, in fact a lot of bad music is played on the radio and tops the charts.

Who cares. While I wish it did for her to gain enough money not to be bothered with the money she has to pay Dr Puke, as @FfFfFfFFjust states, quality doesn't always mean success.

This is simply my favorite Kesha album, and I'll keep streaming 'till I can't stand it :tony: now I'm waiting for that vinyl release! :saladga:  Bought the Japanese edition tho, SO THAT'S ONE MORE SALE FOR YOU GURL

(Yes, I'll take any occasion to shamelessly plug my Instagram :laughga:)
