I've seen one of his fundraising sites it specifically says u must be a US citizen or a permanent resident

Was a brief statement so I'll give you more context. He was born in the US so he does hold citizenship but he lived here for just the first months of his life. He has no reason to be involved in US politics since he has no family here so the point was the Canadian news is covering the US election quite a bit for him to be so involved. Sorry if it wasn't clear
