I call bs. well I’m not them. As someone very studious of electoral strategy & history, I actually predicted a Trump win, particularly in the region I mentioned: Pennsylvania. Why? Because most of my family is from that city. I know people from the area and their attitudes. Midwestern cities in key swing states will not turn out for Sanders (or especially not Warren). They are, even the Democrats, somewhat inherently conservative in their demeanor and culture. The Progressive movement is too overwelming to them. I would argue corporate democrats in the likes of Hillary, Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand would fair poorly there too. Bc they are too much that “social justice warrior” type for middle class Midwest suburb voters. Those voters care abt a focus on hard economic messages, one it seems like no candidates (aside from maybe Bloomberg) are providing.
