Be happy I'm recommending Buffy to other Supernatural fans My college obsession with SPN in 2012 has quadrupled since quarantine. I'm like madly in love with Jared, am rewatching the series, spending money on merch. I now have more SPN merch than Buffy merch in my apartment. It's bad, and it might not be healthy, but I'm obsessed and I like it My name isn't Timmers
Doot 2
1 minute ago, Timmers said: It wasn't that it was less dark that makes me dislike it. It's that the show forgot its formula and started making a joke out of itself. Season Four was all about how we can split the Scoobies up and make them have their own lives. They don't support each other, most weeks they're doing their own thing, and instead of there being a good reason for the formula change, it's just "boys and college." And it makes a joke out of itself with the majority of episodes being about some goofy plot instead of an overarching storyline. "Something Blue," "A New Man," and some other goofy episodes work really well, and every season has those episodes. But a lot of the time, the characters weren't themselves for the sake of being goofy. Like in episode 2 with Kathy. The second half of the season is a lot better than the first half, but that first half was so.... not serious... that my friend I'm introducing to the show had to take a two week break. She just suddenly didn't like the show any more and was so pissed off. Obviously this is just my opinion and I respect yours. I know most people hate Season 6 so I don't expect to agree with most Buffy fans about season quality lol I can see what you are saying, although I don't necessarily wholey agree. It's definitely a matter of opinion. Like for me, I think seasons 6 and 7 are the lowest ranked ones, and I think Season 5 is the best. But everyone differs. I can't believe we have to wait a few more months before the finale but whew the longevity we have. We also have a thread about Supernatural here. I have a theory that fans who watched while it was airing would like the latter seasons less than those who either watched late or watched when they were young adults. Personally, I could relate to season 6 problems because I was also in the process of looking for jobs, paying bills, etc when I watched it. Antoni 5,332
I had to write this last week to announce that our Buffy Make-A-Wish event is cancelled. I think I did a good job working in the show's voice. My name isn't Timmers

My friend Kelly has been doing the event since I was 10 years old and this is the first year it's been cancelled. Aside from the fun of it all, we usually have a ton of Buffy and Supernatural items for auction. I got my first Jared and Misha autographs at the event last year as part of an auction package.
