This is what happens when you’re the ONLY candidate to actively reach out to commonly overlooked voters. People couldn’t stop talking about how Iowa was 90% white but failed to acknowledge who won the non-white vote in the state by nearly 30 points. In California, Bernie Sanders is the only candidate opening up presidential campaign offices in cities that have never had a presidential campaign reach out to them before. Oxnard, my mostly Hispanic hometown is one of those that Bernie opened up an office in for the first time. This type of outreach will win the nomination and will win the presidency. We should have a good amount of them by then yes. But stuff should start coming in slowly by 7pm Eastern.

I've been saying it for months and months but if Bernie wins the nomination, it will be thanks to the Latinos. I am so happy about this because I think this could be the first time that the latino community have shown up and made their voice known, and made sure their community has been represented. The democratic party has always been dominated by the narrative of the african american community and where they stand but I think we are now seeing that the democratic party actually is made up of multiple minority communities that have specific needs and I hope that going forward the party and deliver to these communities, giving them a reason to vote for them while also doing meaningful legislation to make a meaningful change to their lives.
