Bernie Bro is misogynistic and racist because it was literally created by a political campaign to smear Sanders' supporters as angry, racist, sexist white men when, in reality, most of his supporters are women and he is one of, if not the, most popular candidates with POC. It erases his female supporters and his supporters of color. "Mayo Pete" is a reference to the fact that he's a white man who has an anti-black record and that his supporters are overwhelmingly white, which is true.
