I wonder how left media will cover the Nina roasting Biden on racial issues point...

They will probably agree that Bernie should've said "Yes, she was right" and point to Biden's proven record of LYING about his involvement with the civil rights movement and the way he has singlehandedly contributed more to mass incarceration and the deterioration of black wealth with his legacy in congress than most members in congress put together.

I-

Chris Matthews is a mess :emma:

I thought he learned after his "Bernie wouldn't help a stranger on the street" tirade...

There is a strong difference between fathering a bill, telling people that we need to "lock those sons of bitches up" and spreading racist propaganda about gangs, black people being unable to control their own neighborhoods, and running around with race segregationists and touting your fond memories of them... all while peddling the idea that you were part of the civil rights movement

Versus settling on voting for a bill that also contains the Violence against women act and funding for preventative measures to combat crime and invest in Education.. not to mention having been openly opposed to many parts of the bill going back to when it was first introduced, but still voting for it because you feel that there are parts that are worth salvaging at the time   (^ this part is that "compromise" people say Sanders has Never done for some reason, even though hes done it his whole career)

If people could understand that no one thinks Sanders is a perfect saint, but just hella better than the alternatives, then they could stop wasting their time with these basic "gotcha" moments and do something like, idk go canvass or phonebank or knock doors or even just send texts for their candidate or something :selena: That would be more productive to your cause.

Amy has a good debate overall.

I’ve always liked her. She’s a good Senator.

It's easy to find the excuses for Bernie, but not for the others. :golfclap:

At the end of the day, Bernie, who you are proud he didnt vote for so many things, choosed to vote for the crime bill that affected the lives of so many black people. The rest are details for the black people who suffered from that bill.

Yes, you can find excuses, if you look for the context, but that's not something you do with other people when you criticized them. Bernie can make mistakes and evolve on some issues, like any normal person does, others cant for you.

Anyway, let's stop here. You said what you wanted to say. I've said what I wanted to say also. We know that we won't agree.

Black people are the ones who know these things better and they will vote how they want.

Critical thinking and nuance flies over the heads of extremely biased people. There’s no point in trying to discuss matters like this with people like that.
