I don't think anyone watched this long ass debate :emma:

But if they did, I see Klobuchar overtaking Biden tbh, I hate most of her policy ideas, but she has gotten better at these debates significantly.

Amy snapped there tbh. She let her heart out for the first time on that stage.

I have to say that was very nice to see! They are a beautiful couple.

This was the first debate in awhile I actually watched most of. It was actually interesting and quite firey and energetic at times with how fast it would go from candidate to candidate.

Bernie and Steyer I thought had strong performances, and I appreciated Steyer's input spilling facts about Trump's playbook and what truly needs to be focused on.

Warren did well enough, but honestly her insistence on almost never directly answering a question is annoying. As was her trying to claim Bernie has a super PAC or somehow like the others who take corporate donations and billionaire money.

Pete did decent, although his answer to the policing question that was followed up on by the moderator made absolutely no sense and was pretty cringe. The mod was not having that deflection lmaoo.

Yang had some good moments, but he really didn't do as well as past debates.

Amy did good enough for herself, but she's honestly just quite dull and I quickly lose interest when she speaks what with her monotone voice. She's just not a great speaker or debater.

Biden was just not it, he literally tried to take credit for everything under the sun and just came across as defensive and too strong, constantly raising his voice and getting flustered over everything!

Although the questions posed at the beginning were annoying and typical MSM conservative framing, overall they were loads better than the embarrassing and absolutely ridiculous questions from the last CNN debate.

I felt the questions were quite tough with tough ones directed at every candidate. I really appreciated the follow-up the moderators did on many of the questions. It's so annoying when they let things slide and don't follow-up, but these mods weren't having it.

Props to them and the network for an overall great debate!

They say Amy did amazingly every night tbh :laughga:

IMO:

Winners: Bernie, Steyer, Amy

Losers: Yang, Pete, Joe

Meh: Warren

I honestly would not be surprised if Amy overperforms in NH.

Pete got clocked for his absolute failure to improve the lives of black people in South Bend, and rightfully so.

Joe was just all over the place. Some good answers early, but he basically admitted hes not going to win NH and gave up in his FIRST question :rip: that's awful. And his response to "will you disavow Racism" was "I have black friends"

Yang made it seem like he has one answer for everything. When he basically answered "we're going to solve child poverty by giving people 1,000 a month" I was livid.

Bernie had an amazing first half and a decent second half. I am disappointed that he didnt go with Nina's point.

I don't want to reduce the black vote to just something you "win", but Bernie needs to win the support of older AA voters in South Carolina - Joe does NOT deserve it. He has a terrible history with racial issues that have massively hurt the black community more than anyone else on that stage could have in a lifetime and he gleefully LIES about his involvement in things like the civil rights movement. He was a close friend with segregationists and brags about it constantly, as if *he* was the one who made them no longer racist :saladga:

Steyer is second in SC right now, and honestly, I could see him winning it if his attacks landed.

But then again, unfortunately, many members of the older AA community are loyal to a fault just in my opinion... Like my grandparents would support people that screwed them over on racial issues even if they hate them and it irks the **** out of me.
