This is f*ckin bullsh*t. According to the judge (if you can call it that), Dr. L*** is not a public figure. Wth, of course he is a public figure, apparently this makes it easier for L***’s case

But its a shame that that was turned into defamation when it only got out into the public because of this overall court case in the greater context of her rape case... Wrong or right, I think that element of things is a bit ridiculous, and kind of emblematic of a bigger reason of why women just don't report rape often. It almost never works out for them.

Yeah, because what the law says is always fair, true and just. 

She passed on information she'd heard in a private text message to a friend. Whether or not she knew it was a mistruth, it doesn't negate the FACT that no human in their right mind would go through all this mental anguish, money and lawsuits and do something as unethical as lie about being raped just to get out of a recording contract.

I will make this about white men getting away with rape, because that's exactly what's happening here. The stats prove that Dr Luke is in the vast majority of cases where white rapists are exonerated.

When did she confess to lying? She refused to recant and say she was lying as a chance to leave her contract.

True! And She has had substantial evidence but what hurt her case was a previous deposition tape for a previous case where she was forced by him to lie under oath. She claimed he threatened her & her mother, if she did not lie. She had also signed her whole life away years ago to him.
