It's not like her current situation is any better, look around here at people calling her a liar, dr luke milking her dry because of this situation + her still being signed to him. She knows she's losing this but she's still sticking to her words, meanwhile she could've signed and at least secured her life financially.

I just personally can't see anyone accepting that, admitting you lied about a horrible crime further tarnishing some people's views on real victims and becoming a hated person. I don't know the legal side but could she be jailed if she admitted to lying? In an ideal world (and this isn't about Kesha but anyone making up lies about any serious crime), the liar would get the same punishment that the false perpetrator would have gotten. One thing we can all agree on is in this instance Dr Luke sounds like a sh**ty person.

I'm sure part of the negotiation was that he would drop all legal cases against her.

Also this reminds me of Taylor and Scooter, he asked her to never mention him again if she wanted to perform her songs at the AMA. These men always use their power to silence the artists they abuse.

And ? I'm sorry but being a bad person doesn't make you a rapist or a murderer. It's two different things.

c. September 2005, Dr Luke heard Kesha's demo, decided to work with her; both maintained independent counsel and signed and agreement under KMI - Dr Luke's company - for, among other things, 6 albums

October 2005, Dr Luke and Kesha attended Nicki Hilton's bday party; then an afterparty at Paris Hilton's house. Kesha vomited in a closet, possibly because of too much to drink, food poisoning, or a roofie. She was kicked out of the party. Kesha only has a vague recollection of what happened next - Dr Luke brought her to his hotel; he maintains she slept on the bed, he on the couch, fully clothed. Next morning, he left for the studio and told her that she could stay in the hotel for the rest of the day since she was still sick.

Though she has no memory of Dr Luke assaulting her, Kesha maintains he did so because she felt ripped and sore and experienced the after effects of a roofie - the document notes this is contested.

In 2008, Dr Luke suggested Kesha hire David Sonenberg, who became her manager. Sonenberg negotiated a deal with Warner Bros, which Dr Luke contested since it conflicted with the contract he signed with her; Kesha threatened him with negative publicity

In 2008, Kesha hired a new lawyer who negotiated her contract so KMI would have rights to her first 5 albums, instead of her first 6. She began working with Dr Luke

Sonenberg, who had been replaced, comes back into the picture after the success of the Animal album, and alleged that Kesha told him and her mother that she had been drugged and raped by Dr Luke in October 2005

Kesha testifies in a deposition in June 2011 that Dr Luke never drugged her, raped her, she had never told her mother that she had been drugged and raped by him, that she had never had sexual relationships with Dr Luke, and that he had never made sexual advances towards her.

Kesha's mother testified in October 2011 that until she had a meeting with Sonenberg, she was unaware of Kesha ever having any kind of sexual relationship with Dr Luke, nor was she aware of Dr Luke giving Kesha any drug of any kind.

Late 2011/2012, Kesha tried to renegotiate her contract with Dr Luke, and refused to show up to studio sessions. Her team wrote in an email in April 2012 that they should "battle [Dr Luke] in the press" and "take down his business"

Dr Luke refused to renegotiate, and Kesha stopped paying royalties, doing a bunch of business stuff. She hired two new lawyers.

October 2013 Kesha's mother threatened Dr Luke, arguing if he didn't renegotiate, she would "tell the truth" and make public that he drugged and raped Kesha; she then sent an email to a blogger named Michele Eisele, who started the "Free Kesha" movement

Summer 2014, Kesha's new team brought allegations to Sony that Dr Luke had drugged and raped her; her team prepared a press plan: "Our goal is to help extricate CLIENT K from her current professional relationship with PERSON L by inciting a deluge of negative media attention and public pressure on the basis of the horrific personal abuses presented in the lawsuit"

October 2014: Kesha sued Dr Luke in California (California Action) for sexual assault, harassment, gender violence, unfair competition in violation of California law; Dr Luke commenced the case; Kesha withdrew the California Action after the judge determined the contracts' clauses mandated proceeding in New York

December 2014: Dr Luke filed his complaints for defamation

July 2015 Kesha filed counterclaims against Dr Luke and Sony, which they moved to dismiss

September 2015: Kesha sought preliminary injunction to allow her to keep making/releasing music without agreements from Dr Luke/Sony.

c. October 2015, Kesha amended her counterclaims to include claims she previously brought in the California Action, which Dr Luke and Sony had sought to dismiss.

In February 2016, after oral arguments, Kesha's preliminary-injunction motion were denied.

April 2016 all but one of Kesha's counterclaims were dismissed "and denied leave to amend because even if the sexual assault occurred, the counterclaims could not be maintained."
