Ellie is a great and passionate artist.

Halcyon and Delirium are amazing pop projects.

The big question here is... Is EG4 happening anytime soon?

Full excerpt regarding Ellie Goulding:

"She turned down so many commercial opportunities that an exasperated executive once disparagingly told her she could have had the career of Ellie Goulding, who has sung a John Lewis advert and struck multiple brand arrangements with companies including Pantene and Nike.

“They said that to my face,” says Jackson incredulously. “Nothing against Ellie Goulding, but I’m never going to make music that’s boring enough to be on TVs all over the UK. I don’t want people to look back and go, ‘Oh yeah, I remember her for the John Lewis advert.’ That would be a gun-in-mouth moment for me.

“If I’m not proud of myself, take me to the nearest cliff, let me walk off it. I feel that strongly about my work. Nothing else can compete with that feeling. Nothing. No amount of money.”"

I agree with  La Roux:giggle:

I love Ellie and actually invested in her albums before. Halcyon Days is pop perfection! Even her newer album Delirium showed promise. So I'm def here for her next album to see what she does next.

I would get all this for someone like Rita Ora but not Ellie ( I do like Rita Ora though she produces some good bops)

it makes me wanna check on Ellie Goulding more than the new La Roux even though i enjoyed her music :)

Edit : as you were all talking about Halcyon I picked this one on Spoty, and uh... It's starts very good, and the girl seem to write her stuff...

Edit 2 : she's humble and has a beautiful energy on stage, not a bog voice, but i like what i see and i watch it in full. she's a mix of Gwen Stefani and Britney Spears to me if it makes sense (the voice for B and the overall rock attitude and romantic, edgy fashion but not over the top for G)

Edit 3 : thank you La Roux. I love Ellie so much now.

hello hello baby.

sure, i will come back to her music it's obvious. I'm obviously in a pop-rock, cool energy good attitude phase. (personal confidence) so it's no wonder. I think she carries emotion.

Edit : actually she sounds like Britney and Ionna Lee's babee and that's a compliment.  I love this because it's both epic sounding and smooth at the same time. I love the balance she has in everything.

Two hits*

what planet u on

In For The Kill was really only a minor hit in the UK, it didn't even chart in American whereas Bulletproof went #8 there. IFTK didn't sell as much and has been completely forgotten about now apart from those who loved it. Bulletproof is the only song of hers that's been remotely remembered by the public.

:laughga: Sis, it peaked at #2 in the UK, everyone knows the song, it was nominated for the GRAMMY, the Darkzy remix is a massive staple in UK house/drum & bass sets, it's certified Platinum (Bulletproof is only Gold certified) and that plaque hasn't been updated in probably almost a decade I should imagine. Just because Bulletproof debuted at #1 in the UK it does not make it the bigger hit, because it kinda weren't. I'm sure it topped the Hot Club Dance Songs in the US too, but I could be wrong. It's really not that minor of a hit, especially in the UK.
I seriously think you need to do some resesrch and have a look at what each song did. In the UK, In For The Kill sold more and was not a minor hit. In the US, Bulletproof did better and was a sleeper hit.

HeavyMetal Halcyon

There aren't many other artists that can go from "Fall Into The Sky" to "Explosions" to "I Need Your Love" to "Halcyon" within the same album cycle.  Ellie is always willing to explore new, exciting music.  Halcyon is my favorite record.

Also, this remix album was genius:
