Billie Eilish thinks a lot of hip-hop right now is lying about guns & women

The whole point of rap and hip hop was to be "real." Yet, the game has been fake for a long time. When the 00's hit, rappers became very different. Much less were previously gang affiliated, many more were educated and had maybe even gone to college, had family support and they started to get charged for owning guns without being registered as opposed to actually using those guns. So many rappers are married with children and yet they sing about having a harem of women, which is definitely one of the biggest illusions. It's all very well to just tell a story with your raps, but you should be honest about what's real and what's fantasy. All rappers act like they're the realest and it's so ironic. That's what Billie's calling out. You're making it out to be a racially charged statement when she's talking about the genre, not the race of people making that genre. And of course she's talking about this genre and nothing else because she clearly is inspired a lot by that scene and naturally wants to speak about the ups and downs of a genre that she's so connected to. She may be young with a lot to learn still but she's spot on here.

How dark, non-mainstream and edgy can be someone who stans this?

Pleease. :laughga:

Is it really that important to be right that you'd waste all the energy to dig up Bieber videos like you think I don't know him? :saladga:

Let's agree to disagree, ok? Keep putting people in boxes if that suits you, I honestly don't care.

I frankly don't even remember what you said, it's just pretty tiring to see GGD turn more and more into Madonna Nation.

Is GGD turning into Madonnation because people post non-positive opinions on your favorite artists or because nobody can say anything without people victimizing themselves and throw this idea into the air? :rip:

This, don't know why people are looking at it with a racial perspective... as if Eminem doesn't do the same lmao

If you knew him you'd have known why someone stanning him can't be all that dark and edgy.

So because of the fact you stan fka Twigs I have to assume you're non-mainstream, edgy and also able to pole dance.

It's true. Mainstream hip hop is all about that clout buffoonery.
Unfortunately she'll now be faced with the wrath of my people lmao

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

What is wrong with me saying it? People are not one-dimensional, yet there are certain assumptions and observations that can be done.

Everyone should be entitled to their opinion. But repeatedly bashing an artist because you suddenly feel like your fave is threatened is a problem, and you and I both know this is what's increasingly happening here.

People are allowed and should be allowed to express their opinion on any artists. There are extreme cases like insults and hate but you are not talking about it. To justify any negative opinion by saying it's because we feel threatened is an assumption and  annoying one at that because it disqualifies anything non-positive.

But there is a thing that doesn't let you let other people have non-positive opinions on her, what's that? Can we pinpoint it? :oprah:
