I'm leaving soon to the middle of nowhere (Chatham) :poot:

But yeah I've been in Brampton for about 15 years now no far from downtown just north of the Queen and Centre area by the Dairy Queen

Oh wow you moving REAL south Ontario lol
I live a little more up north sandalwood and bramlea. I grew up mostly downtown Toronto, but forced to move with family when we finally got a house. The first thing I had to do was get my licence because the difference between transit times and distance was BIG lol.

Does Canada have a large Arabic population?

Surprisingly Quebec has a big Arabic population, but split between Ontario.

I lived in Toronto too before my fam also got a house!!!!!

Do u know Christi and Dewpont? I think that was the nearest main intersection of I'm not getting it mixed up.

It was near Christi Pits and I think Casa Loma was not too far

Sandalwood and Bramalea. Ok that's the NE end of the city so I don't know that area too well and what's around there other than Brampton Civic Hospital just south of you on Bovaird but I know Sandalwood and Bramalea so Id know how to drive to that intersection no problem and how to get there lol

That would be about 10 minutes north of Bramalea City Centre or so right?

I know the Brampton Civic Hospital is close to that area

Ah you were there originally! We were living in Regent park before the revitalization project. It was like 10mins walk to Eatons. And I went to Ryerson Uni, Literally EVERYTHING was close to me.. Those were the good times :selena:

and Yep! thats the spot. From that civic hospital its just a 4-5 min drive up bramlea and I live off near intersection

The nearest land mark to my house would be Centennial Mall or the GoodLife Fitness that's in the same plaza as the Giant Tiger. My house is between those two spots. I live in the old slummier part of the city :emma: (but not the disgrace that is Kennedy and Queen which is actually just 5 minutes walk from my house tho :ladyhaha:)

And I know the Eaton Centre area more or less

I was actually only in Toronto for 4 years and from when I was 8-12 so I only know specific areas well. The area I lived and the areas my parents went to often... I sometimes still go to Toronto but use GPS all the time so I don't memorize anything anymore

Oh and I know the Dundas and College area well cuz my grandparents live there and it's also "little Portugal" which is my background (I lived in Portugal before moving to Canada)

Ah Centennial Mall I know it! My co-worker actually lives there, off vodden and center its in the area where I havent visited much other than the odd times I drop my co-worker off if it gets late and we are both on the same shift.

Brampton is still new to me, even after living here for 5ish years now, I haven't acclimated to it as much as I did in Toronto.

The GPS thing is me in Brampton. No joke if I have to make a SMALL detour due to an accident on the road, or miss a turn in brampton during my work commute, im immediately lost  I have one set path..if its disrupted im in no mans land lol.

Aghh..also apologies for derailing this thread going off topic about our lives

Haha Centre and Vodden is actually the closest intersection to where I live. I just didn't think ud know that one so I said main and Centre which is a more major intersection but somewhat close still lol

And I got used to it fine. Toronto may have more exiting variety but I hate the hecticness...

Actually, even Brampton has become to hectic for me now... When I finish at the gym at 8pm I still can't make a left cuz traffic is still terrible from rush hour :neyde:

Did u know Brampton is like Canada's 8th largest city now? Ppl outside the GTA would never guess cuz since it's next to Toronto u just see Toronto in the map

But we're literally in the Countries top 10

I hate huge cities. Bad for my anxiety :toofunny:

Aaah I love Indian food too! I have a (very white) family friend (that's basically an auntie) who does not like the smell of curry and claims that brown people are "too smelly". She lives in Malton which is close to Brampton. I never understood her cause she's missing out on so much! :saladga:

Spoiler

Also, anyone can be smelly if they don't practice good hygiene. Including white people.

I fell down the stairs once as an actor.
