I'm sure there's many Americans who think that way Just like there are a few Canadians who look down on brown immigrants The way Blacks and Latinos have long faced racism in the US, here in Canada the group that gets the most subtle hate is "brown people" so Indians, Pakistani, Persian/Irani etc Outright hate crimes and stuff are kinda rare but I hear certain remarks from time to time stereotyping the crap out of them (they smell bad, they are cheap, they are lazy etc) Also in extreme cases... I'm a minority as a white guy here everyone is brown Even famous or important Indian Canadians are from Brampton like the comedian Russel Peters, or the Federal NDP Party Leader Jagmeet Sing... All from Brampton Some years ago the Indian Prime Minister came to Canada and decided to visit Brampton. The PM must of known someone here or had cousins etc The nicknames from Brampton are "Bramladesh" or "Brown Town" cuz most immigrants that aren't Indian are still brown (like Bangladesh, Pakistan or Trinidad)...
