Please read the snipped first result :emma:

We will have to wait for independent journalists to get more information on this story, because his answer does not satisfy the conflict or the optics entirely, there are questions remaining

(Also, false premise, I don't monitor everyone's damn posts, but I never said he funded the development of the app, but that he had paid the company that did, which is a conflict of interest)

Lol. So if Pete, other candidates and DNC all buy a product from apple, Pete and the other candidates would be in a conflict of interest? :laughga:

Stop inventing rules to attack the other candidates who aren't Bernie.

Harris Walz 2024

The fact is that no candidate is going to run away winning this primary anytime soon. All the candidates know that there's going to be wins and losses. Primaries are meant to elect the strongest candidate with the widest appeal. The worst outcome is losing faith in the process which is what the Republicans and Trump will try  to make happen. Please don't help them out.

I never said that I thought the money was used for the creation of the app :rip:

Why is he giving money to this company anyways? He's tied to it and Hillary Clinton.

You said he gave money to the app, which is false. If what you meant was that he gave money to the company that made the app for unrelated services and you still find that problematic, that’s still fine. Not sure what your intention was with the :rip: other than to be condescending.

“Buttigieg’s campaign paid Shadow Inc., the company behind the Iowa Caucus app, $42,500 in July for text messaging software, campaign finance records show.”

Pete is currently leading and projected to win in SDEs, but there are verified sources showing that the IDP has incorrectly input several bits of data :rip: Warren is missing over 300 votes or more, and Sanders was missing around 500. They had also given delegates to Deval Patrick instead of Sanders, and Steyer instead of Warren. This bit was corrected, but the initial discrepancy still remains.

I'm guessing that they will not fix everything, and thus we will never know with 100% certainty what the results are :rip: Pete and Bernie are predicted to get the same delegate total, or Pete will get 1 more (though that should be called into question since the votes aren't entirely accurately reported :emma: )

This is laughably bad :sharon:

Bernie supporters want now to talk about the popular vote, you know that thing that Hillary had against him and Trump? :laughga:

It's fine by me. Be happy that Bernie has 1000 more votes. I dont care even if Pete is no 2 at the end.

Yes, sorry to be unclear, I meant the company. I also didn't mean to be condescending, I apologize. T

The company associated with Shadow is ACRONYM, which is associated with Hillary Clinton and corporate America. This is why I take such an issue with this technology being used for the caucus and Pete being associated with it. I think it creates a clear conflict of interest between Pete and all the other candidates, and voters. I'm also not sure how much I trust that the information given in that article is true.

Did you follow the link?

If they were at an Apple sponsored event, where Apple was officiating the results of a major competition, then YES it would indeed be a conflict of interest...

I legitimately do not understand why this is a controversial take for you

There are literally incorrect results being reported by the IDP that DO NOT match the results that were tallied by the people on the ground in Black Hawk County, which has a decent population, and perhaps elsewhere. There are issues of misattribution where they have given some votes and delegates to candidates that did not receive them.

It would not kill you to say "they should fix that" :deadbanana: you can even say -

"Pete's still my fave and he beat your fave, but they should probably fix that so its more clear that Buttigieg won :fan: "  - Like I'm arguing against ineptitude and unprofessionalism, not about Bernie or Pete's #s :saladga:

I agree with Pete in what he said, and think Hillary should have won off the popular vote. I just don't understand what happened to Pete's thinking. I believe Pete even supported Bernie before he was corrupted by who knows what.

They’re already finding other discrepancies exactly like what happened in Blackhawk County.

How did they think they’d get away with this? :saladga:

Agree to disagree. For me, if a campaign didnt broke any rule, it's not a problem.

If there are still errors, they dont have anything to do with the app.

They should fix them, if they can. However, I dont expect any caucus to be without errors. Always, there have been problems with them. That's why I hope it's the last time we see them.

That's all folks! Thanks for playing! But Pete won Iowa :)

They both have 11 delegates in the end. It's a tie so far. But you tried :teehee:

Still tied and Bernie is closing the gap with 2% more in

But they are tied though. What decides the primary is the number of delegates they get. Right now they both have 11. :poot: You can claim victory over insignificant delegate proportional votes, we can claim victory over popular vote. The truth is they both have the same amount of delegates in the end, so it's a tie.
