You know...I thought that people giggling and having a little bit of fun on the other thread for Gaga’s post today was a nice step in the right direction at people trying to  get along for one evening. People were happy at how great she looked. Some jokes were shared.

Flip over to this...all you see is blatant attacking and back and forth. No one wants to have a civilized conversation anymore. So, ya’ll have fun bashing each other but I can’t do this anymore.

a lady gaga outfit isn’t as decisive as politics...who’d have thought?

Missing the point here. No one needs to resort to personal attacks over their ideas and beliefs and go into full out war. Nice to know you think this is probably a joke. I’ll shut up next time because apparently no one listens to anyone around here unless you’re calling someone all types of bitches or shaming them.

i’m not trying to belittle you i’m just shocked that you don’t realize this is what politics is all about. it always has been about ad hominem attacks and bitchiness. it’s been like that since the Roman Empire and Babylon.

So you’re okay with the 9 people on this thread that have been clawing at each other nonstop for the last few hours? I’d be afraid to lock them in a room for 5 minutes without the fear of one of them throwing punches. The discussion this morning about caucus fiasco spiraled downhill into “Bernie supporters are this” and “Pete is a liar about that” and geared more towards individualized attacks on everyone afterwards.

Misusing the LMAO and SAD reactions is a petty way to express disagreement with someone. It's also against the rules of the forum. It just perpetuates a level of incivility that shuts down legitimate conversations. In this thread, and basically every thread related to this primary, Sander's supports have been misusing the reactions. So, I thought I'd address it.

It's also worth noting that Pete has the lowest networth of any of the primary candidates, estimated at $250,000 USD. So, I'm not sure why you think he is rich.

But I respect your opinion.

"misusing." there is no correct way to use them and it is not mentioned in any of the forum rules. It's actually the most civil way to express disagreement as it takes away the likelihood of posts using ad hominems or getting reported from the users on here. I mean if you're triggered by lmao and sad reactions, quite frankly get some thicker skin. It's no different than expressing agreement by liking a comment. Your first post seemed to equate pushing a button on a Gaga forum with nasty posts on the likes of twitter and reddit from hardcore Bernie and other political stans. I still think that's a reach.

As for pete, his net worth doesn't mean anything to me because he is still a corporatist, establishment democrat funded by the upper class of this country and is proposing policies that aren't in the best interests of the average American. And that net worth is still more than MANY Americans... certainly more than me.

@CyanLights Care to clear this up for us? :)

Is misusing the reaction feature (a sarcastic LMAO for example) against forum rules?

You can read yourself here: https://gagadaily.com/guidelines

I don't see it mentioned.

There is no way for you to know whether your post was funny or sad to anyone. You can't enforce that rule.

This is why the "Excuse me no" reaction was excellent.

Misuse of the forum, in any way shape or form, is against guidelines.

If we spot or if misuse of reactions is brought to our attention we will act on it.

OT: Why are there not more results? It's been hours

Unless you can look into my soul and see whether I wasn't sad or laughing, it's impossible for you to enforce that rule.

I'm talking about a much more aggressive misuse than a few reactions. If you're warned for it, you can take it to a support thread.

OT: I guess we really won't have those results until tomorrow.

Isn't there a limit on how many reactions we can use in a day?

Spoiler

These "reactions" seem to be monitored more so on a case by case. With there only being 6 reactions, you cant get too specific in some cases, what the user who reacted initially meant that reaction for.
Unless they directly respond to that user explaining their motive behind the reaction they left, which completely defeats the purpose of reactions in the first place, and you cant really except people to do that.

Also..we are going to reach a full 24 hours soon, with only 62% of the caucus results reported. This is turning out to be more of a mess as time goes on..
