This means absolutely everything as to how those results are presented. This is a valid conspiracy theory to me. If sanders truly does win I’ll really have to think about this. Chromatica 7,042
10 minutes ago, OG Gaga Stan said: Even if these vote totals are going to reported exactly as they were tallied in their respective precincts (which could certainly be invalidated or downplayed via claims of "irregularities"), this has pushed the conversation about Sanders' potential win out of primetime, allowed Buttigieg to claim that he is going into NH "victorious," and dramatically affected the way these results are received by the public. It is not at all conspiratorial to suggest that this is blatantly shady and certainly amounts to more than "absolutely nothing." I suggest you two look into what happened in Iowa in 2016: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/elections/presidential/caucus/2016/02/02/iowas-nightmare-revisited-correct-winner-called-caucus-night/79702010/ The Des Moines Register said, in their own reporting, that it "was a debacle, period. Democratic officials refused to undergo scrutiny or allow for an appeal and it reeked of autocracy. The Register's own editorial board saw multiple opportunities for error amid Monday night's chaos." This is not some far-left publication. It's the same outfit that helped host a Democratic party debate just recently. They even called for an audit of the Iowa results: https://www.politico.com/story/2016/02/des-moines-register-audit-iowa-results-218731 We've already seen multiple instances tonight where Sanders went into a precinct with a serious lead (40+ more caucus-goers) and left with the same number of delegates as Buttigieg due to coin-tosses. This entire process is a disaster, from top to bottom, and there are countless opportunities for error/"corrections" from a party apparatus that has openly voiced their contempt for the possibility of a Sanders candidacy. Again, it is incredibly naive to dismiss all of this, and patently ridiculous and insulting to accuse voters of engaging in "conspiracy theories" for pointing out how blatantly shady this set-up clearly is. To be clear, my response was to the language that suggested the Iowa caucus could be rigged in Pete’s favor because he funded the app. That is still a crazy conspiracy theory that will only serve to hurt Bernie in the long run. As for how this debacle may have changed the narrative around Bernie’s performance, I hear you. People on both sides of this are talking about how their candidate was “robbed of a win” because of the delay. But that, as it applies to any candidate, relies on them actually having won the caucus and that can not yet be said for any candidate officially. We’ll just have to wait and see. ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Some of you have way too much faith in an organization that has literally rigged things in the past, one in which members involved in that incident still exert influence over said organization They basically admitted to rigging their primary last time, and y'all still call us conspiracy theorists because it doesn't fit into your worldview, or goes against your candidate, or you have some kind of anti anything nefarious ever happening mentality, whatever it is, I'm calling it out because it makes you look incredibly partisan and out of touch, somewhat ironically. This is an organization that is running attack ads against Bernie Sanders by the millions... I implore you to look up election interference and blunders in other foreign countries because this kind of **** actually *does* happen all the time, the art of this kind of thing is something have used repeatedly to help install regimes and overthrow government leaders all over the damn world. That is not to say this must be nefarious, but to act like everything is peachy keen in light of all of this would be incredibly naive and potentially willfully ignorant. Why were there such claims of a need for "quality control" at 2% and counting of the vote? Why did the App malfunction? Why did Pete's team donate money to the developer of the app that "no one knew" before tonight? Why is the CEO married to one of Pete's advisors? Why did Pete also delay the releasing of the poll the night before, why did he vaguely claim victory in a storm of uncertainty that could certainly backfire on him, Why are there Hillary for America officials employed at "Shadow, Inc." who were part of the DNC machine in 2016, Why is Shadow, Inc. openly supportive of a dark monied Super PAC that is running anti-bernie attack ads, Why did Pete Buttigieg attend a strategy meeting with Neera Tanden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Why are Clinton Staffers mounting anti-disinformation campaigns meant to report the words "rigged" ? This COULD very well all be coincidental, unrelated, or perhaps not the full picture and these could all be isolated incidents. But there are many questions to be asked, and rightfully so. I'll fight what seems beyond the pale while also not discouraging people who already had little trust in this system going forward to do their own digging. Just... use reputable sources, not randoms on twitter. Everything I've learned that has informed my views on this topic comes from actual investigative journalists and campaign officials with inside knowledge, its not a bunch of randos posting this lol. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
Bt1 5,213
I guess Amy and Bloomberg are the winners of this situation. The fact that maybe Bernie and Pete are the actual winners is not important at the moment. Surprise surprise. Bernie supporters are going after Pete at the moment. Why? Because it seems that he was the winner on the moderate side. Biden send his lawyers at the DNC, but that's not important anymore for the Bernie supporters, cause they know that they must destroy the biggest opponent of Bernie. Im waiting for tomorrow to see Pete at 3 and Bernie supporters going for Biden or Amy.
Gagaloo911 12,959
Lmao what is going on I live abroad now so am just now seeing the mess. Honestly, what a disaster. The US claims to be democracy manifested and yet they do nothing but fvck it up half if not most of the time So embarrassing. Yet more proof we need to do away with both parties, make massive structural reforms to the system including doing away with the two-party system, and start fresh

This sounds like Democracy voting in a third world country Just to give you an example of the rickety system Iowa had set. “John Grennan, 44, the Democratic chairman in Poweshiek County, said seven of the 10 people running precincts in his central Iowa county never downloaded the state party’s app to begin with, choosing instead to phone in results as they always had. “We’re all so busy just trying to get volunteers,” Mr. Grennan said. “We told people if you can’t get the app to work just call it in. That’s what a lot of people had done historically.” The phones didn’t work like they used to. So many people chose to call their results in or called for help with the app that the state party’s hotline crumbled under the volume. Some precinct leaders found themselves on hold for hours, with others disconnected after long waits.” Source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/02/04/us/politics/iowa-caucus-problems.amp.html
