Now imagine this happened in a foreign country.

Their government would be overthrown by now.

Well. Hillary is like " that's not how it works. I know it better than anyone". But better for her to shut up, because his supporters aren't interested to treat people as equals. :ohwell:

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Tom Perez can't enforce the recanvass. His tweet was a wink and a nod to a candidate campaign to ask the iowa democratic party (IDP) for the recanvass. It has to come from the candidate.

Who wants to bet that Pete is the one who does it?

100% it’s gonna be him. He has had his fingerprints on everything in every step of the Iowa caucuses.

Bernie said that he won because he has more votes. Hillary knows it better than this isnt how it works.

Now u understand?

So it's a tie in the end but Pete won a la electoral college?

It’s not really a tie. Bernie clearly won the popular vote, but this caucus system is a scam just like the electoral college process is.

No. We don't have the final results yet, and those final precincts are expected to put Bernie over the top.

Harris Walz 2024

I think the interesting and most meaningful question is does Iowa release the full amount or 100% of the vote or does the DNC block that information. If the DNC does not let Iowa post, then it will probably be at least a week for the official results.

I legit have NO IDEA what the significance of this is.

Do you mean how Hillary won the popular vote in the primary in 2008 but Obama won the delegates?

And also the 2016 election?

A week? We will probably still be counting votes and recounting well into October by the looks of things :huntyga:

So first of all, the final results have not been released and Pete is only winning by 3 state delegate equivalents with 3% still reporting. So, there's no actual winner as of this time per SDEs. However, Bernie does have a popular vote win that cannot be beaten by the remaining 3% to report that is why he's declaring it as a win.

Additionally, the SDE's do not determine the number of delegates that go to the national convention. The SDE delegates end up going to a county and then state convention and they are used to elect state chair of the party.

Per what I've read (I think in my previous post from the IDP) they will continue to release results. In the meantime, if a candidate campaign decides to ask for a recanvass they will do that after they are complete with the releasing of the results.

Also the deadline to do it is tomorrow per the source above.

No one knew what was going on at that point. They couldn’t even get ahold of all the precincts.

Checking votes and receiving these results by mail are going to be gradual. I guess they could have waited until today or tomorrow and given the complete total, but people didn’t like that either.

Is it too late to go ahead and cancel all the Caucuses left (I think it’s four) and change over to primaries now? I’m watching the orange clown right now give his speech in crazy town and we are going full North Korea now with the music and propaganda. We need some calm thinking and common sense in the Democratic Primary to overtake this idiot. Trump thrives on drama, I hope our party stays sane and is better than that.

Newsflash. Your party is incompetent.

“Quality control” my ass

”Calm thinking and common sense” for you probably means putting this corrupt and incompetent election behind us and once again accusing those who are enraged by that very corruption and incompetency for not having calm thinking and common sense.

Will centrists like you continue to gaslight Bernie supporters for continuing to hound the DNC for greater transparency and less control from the party elites? Or is it always “but look at the “orange clown” over there! We need Unity!” tagline from y’all :fail:
