They don’t even have the same fans and I don’t even see Billie as the new Gaga, I’d rather reach out and say she represents what Avril represented back in the 2000s, the missinderstood, rebel, ‘emo’ kid. And even at that I am not comparing their work, just looking at what kind of people gravitate towards her stuff and what kind of people gravitated towards Avril. She’s not eccentric, her vocal modies are almost always calm even on her bops (she never has the massive range or high falsettos Gaga does). Billie is an enigma like Gaga, absolutely.
