The View goes after Bernie, "Bernie bros" and socialists who attack dems

Although I would probably vote Conservatives before Labour (I'm in UK) I still think Bernie is a tremendously good candidate. An excellent record of public service, amazing fundraising numbers and a clear threat to the moderates in the DNC. It looks like it's shaping up to be a Biden vs Sanders duel, since Buttigieg seems way too far behind and Warren seems to be trailing Sanders in almost every poll. It will be interesting to see how the support is distributed when Buttigieg and Warren end up dropping out - will women go for Sanders over Biden who has a worrying record of sexual abuse claims? Can Sanders scoop up enough to overtake Biden? One thing's for sure - this is not going to be a landslide by ANY means.

I think the likeliest winner in 2020 is Biden, Burnie and Trump in that order.

You are misinformed. Biden doesnt have claims of sexual abuse.

The attacks from the start of the campaign from people who didnt want him to run specifically mentioned that there was nothing "sexual" in their problems with him. Or maybe u are talking about other claims?

Clearly I was misinformed then. Thanks for pointing that out. I've been so preoccupied with UK Politics that I haven't really focused on the details for the US. Still interesting though!

. Whoopi is a mess tbh and while I don't watch the View (i just look at clips from time to time), the Panel was a LOT better when Whoopi was gone... Her views on everything political are just... bad :saladga: Like not in the sense that I disagree therefore bad, but... really ill informed, just super blatant biases preventing her from listening to people, and her priorities are... a MESS to say the least :emma: Not to mention Joy is just a better moderator

its almost as if a multi-millionaire comedienne who never went to college or admitted to never reading a single political doctrine is giving out her opinions

oh wait

nnn

She just gives me my low info voter grandma teas tbh Like you just gotta smile and nod :laughga:

Like, she likes Yang because he wants to give "us money from Amazon sales" because it sounds like a good idea, but she doesn't know how she feels about a wealth tax, doesn't understand or try to understand anything Bernie or Warren are proposing, etc :rip:

(Also, her stanning the idea of getting a portion of sales revenue from Amazon and a value added tax on them... while being the richest one on the panel SENDS me :deadbanana: )

While I've said that Whoopi has some problems and gets stuck with some ideas, I don't get ur point of view. U have to read political doctrine or go to college to know the realities of life or have a political opinion?

I dont think so. Some people would say that the people who go to college and think they know real life by reading political doctrines are the out of touch people, not a self made millionaire.

i agree, the average voter doesn’t to need to have done those things to make an informed view.

But a political commentator that’s trying to influence millions of votes needs to be much more knowledgeable than the average voter.

Bernie is one of the rich people.

I know he is a billionaire now, but he was born middle working class and still supports poor people. The celebrities and elite are completly out of touch with reality, just like Ricky Gervais said in his Golden Globe speech.

I love Ellen, Oprah, Whoopi Goldberg etc -- but they all believe the neoliberal myth that working hard is the solution. They neglect the fact that it is the system as a whole that needs to be changed asap.

3 of the 4 people on The View are self made. 2 of them support a lot of progressive policies. But if u only judge them by this clip, I understand from where your position comes.

They did it again today. I don't know why they suddenly hate Bernie. They used to like him a lot. Joy used to worship him.

There have been other times when they attacked Warren, but now she seems to be everybody's darling again. I never thought I would quote Nicki Minaj, but "pick a side, pick a side".

Actually they attacked Hillary and Warren more than Bernie today.

Okay. I love Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. I get the impression they are more in line with Hillary though and for me the Clintons never were truly progressive, even the Obamas seem more like centrists to me tbh compared to Bernie Sanders' views. (Meghan McCain is a different story, yes...)
