Fresco 1,688
Bob Dylan - The Times They are a Changin (or Hurricane or Forever Young). Needs a better track with a substitute for the harmonica, etc. He fits the criteria of benefiting from covers because his vocal tone deteriorated badly as he aged (sadly for his career). Forever Young. Oh ... Bob Dylan won a Nobel Prize.
Fresco 1,688
It's a Beautiful Life - Ace of Base. I like this song and it works as a positive affirmation type of song that would be good to have in an artist's songbook.

Fresco 1,688
I would do anything for love - Meatloaf Doesn't necessarily need a remake, but the sentiment has aged well, I think. Meatloaf's vocal tone also deteriorated as he aged.

Fresco 1,688
Thunderstruck -AC/DC The lyrics would need to be changed. But the instrumentals are fire and it would be fun in concert.
