Song Information

Written by the Bee Gees, Barry Gibb was producing Rogers’ album “Eyes That Can See In the Dark” in early 1983. After having tried recording the song as a solo track for a few weeks, Rogers expressed that he thought the song wasn’t working and that they should give up trying to record it. Gibb famously then told Rogers, “We need Dolly Parton”. Islands in the Stream would go on to becoming one of the biggest duets in pop music history. Moreover, the associated album “Eyes That Can See in the Dark” by Rogers was certified Double Platinum.

I really didn't expect one of her #1 worldwide pop hits to not make the Top 10... I was shook as well.

Chromatica

I think that the ratings are so high that one outlier review can knock a song down at this point.
