Please go expand your musical horizons if you think Gaga isn't generic. Gaga doesn't even own her album masters.. What matters here is the finished product. In reality, people don't give a damn about authenticity in this kind of process. It's mainstream pop aesthetics, assumed, fabricated and reflected as such. A pop music product proposition is not debatable as "it's not authentic"; in Fact pop music is all about trends. and generic is a term to be forgotten. Everyone is manufactured to some extent, even the most indie guy in the world will always conform to the image that the movement in which he is, expects from him, whether he wants it or not.
