Trump: "I took over the oil" in Syria

Last night during Trump's appearance on Laura Ingraham's show, he went on an unhinged rant about how he rented out US soldiers (and their lives) to the Saudi Arabian government for $1B. During this rant he talks about how he left a few troops behind during his pull out in Syria so they could "take over the oil".

If any other world leader admitted this on live television, this would blow up in the media with outrage. But of course it's Trump, so it didn't even make headlines today :huntyga:

I thought the US invading Arab countries for oil was a conspiracy and a short-sighted argument bla bla :fan:

That would require taking responsibility for the state of the Middle East, and it's obvious that a lot of people aren't ready to have that conversation yet.

For real.

It is so hard to talk to people online and IRL about the problems with our foreign policy in the middle east (and elsewhere) w.o either sounding like a conspiracy theorist  or giving them a 40 year history lesson :deadbanana:

私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

It's easier for people to deny the truth of the current state of the middle east than to realize the reasoning behind it is decades of disastrous foreign policies that prioritize the control  of another nation's natural resources.

Just like you said: this should be global breaking news but it's Trump, so no one cares. That's what makes him so ****ing dangerous.
