I never criticized the American people. I am also not Anti American, im anti injustices done by everyone including my country. I dont care if speaking against injustices offends you as an American because you think your identity is attacked to your government. Stop this close minded patriotism that you have that is making excuses for crimes against human beings.

It’s not close minded patriotism. It’s an American being tired of you speaking for all Americans- and talking about America as if everyone here feels the same way abo it war and foreign policy. You can spin it around and try to label me just because I’m calling you out on your hypocritical and one lined verbiage on America As a whole, in many of the threads on this site.

Anyway, Iran owes an apology to the families- but there should be no “action” against them. In my opinion it most likely was an accident. A very costly one. But they did they right thing and took responsibility.

Who wants to be the best? No one is the best. Canada, Mexico, Portugal, France, - all have their own issues. No one Is perfect but y’all drag the hell out of America. And most of you are from counties that colonized and commited genocide a cross the globe.

The US is dragged because it positions itself as “the greatest and best” in the world, it is one of the major superpowers so obviously anything the US does is observed and criticized by most of the world, and the US gets involved in almost everything and has a brutal track-record when it comes to wars in the Middle East.

Usually the people upset others are criticizing the US have bought into the fake patriotic nationalistic rhetoric spewed by US politicians and media.

When did I claim to speak for all Americans? Its actually the opposite, I try to speak for Arab Muslims living in the Middle East. But not even that, I actually disagree with Arab Muslims on most foreign affairs. I only speak for myself. So what the hell are you talking about?

I never assumed everyone here agrees with me, im actually giving my opinion because I know alot dont agree with me. Again, what the hell are you talking about?

The context of my criticism of America is always based on the government and foreign policy. I rarely care about the American people, my only focus is on foreign policy as it effects me personally. Please quote me where I criticized the American people or call me out on it next time I do it.

Some of y'all need to get over this American Exceptionalism b.s, seriously.

Iran has almost 100 million people. They don't respect gay people or women? GASP!? I didnt know that the positions of a government are shared and supported by every person in the country. Someone should really come invade the South because they still hate gays and women down there, hell there are even murderous hate crimes against Trans people and other minorities on a regular basis!

But wait, that would be crazy, because it would mean that innocent people deserve to have their lives taken from them or endlessly destabilized by foreign agents who have no business in their country in the guise of "humanitarianism" :emma:

“We are keeping the oil. I like oil. We’re keeping the oil”. Trump said ISIS was defeated. You honestly believe they have no other interest and they’ll give full control to the governments? Also what are American billion dollars oil companies and contractors doing over there? If you think it’s all conspiracy, why do you think they started all these wars, to bring freedom and democracy? For human rights? No one actually believes that.

thousands have died at the hands of the Iranian government too, likely more than people have to the U.S

also, that some countries evolve on human rights doesn't defend Iran, this isn't about Iran in the coming years, this is about Iran now

also, overall, the US is one of the most progressive countries on earth overall, yes we still have a ways to go in certain categories, but compared to the rest of the world, we are pretty f*cking good, we have a conservative, and overall pretty f*cked up leadership, but luckely, we do not live in a country that the leader makes ALL the decisions

and compared to Iran, b*tch, if I where to go to Iran, I would be executed, here in the US, I can go about my life freely, with the law on my side if I am discriminated against

honey, every country makes f*cked up desicions, but compared to Iran, the US is f*cking amazing

Statistically speaking the US gov has killed MUCH more people than the Iranian.

That's what I'm saying. Generally speaking it's not like the US takes over production or ownership of the resources

Ppl keep bringing up the oil conspiracy that that's why the US gets involved in those wars but I've yet to see any real evidence that oil has anything to do with it

And now that the US already produces nearly 70% of its own consumption with the shale revolution, and Canada and Mexico fill most of the rest of the gap... Middle Eastern Oil isn't even that relevant to the US anymore for energy security anyway

And the 1 Country that still supplies the US with any meaningful amount of oil still (Saudi Arabia) is usually in fair terms with the US anyway and freely supplies it (and they keep tight control on their oil resources so it's not even like the US could control any of it if they tried)

So to me these oil conspiracies make little sense

So what in your opinion is the real reason of US involvement in this war? Why do they have military bases in those countries?
