Aussies are sharing heartening images of the regeneration that’s already taking place among burnt out trees. Murray Lowe shared a series of images on Facebook from Kulnara on the Central Coast of NSW this week and he’s been overwhelmed by the response, with more than 38,000 people sharing them. “Ventured out into the fire grounds today to capture some images of how the Aussie bush responds to fire, and the way it regenerates itself and comes back to life,” he said. “Even without any rain, life bursts through the burnt bark from the heart of the trees and the life cycle begins again. “It’s so heartening to see the bush coming back to life again.” Mr Lowe is selling the photos with profits going towards the victims of the fires. I'm so happy this is happening, may I ask, since I don't keep up with the latest fire news, is it started to be more controlled and going out or is a lot of the land still on fire? Some ppl don't realize this but fires are part of many habitats cycles. They are required to clear out old wood every so often and it rejuvenates the soil as well with the ash Australia is an area that has many regions where summer fires are both healthy and necessary The issue is these fires have been very excessive (as many other fires around the world have been due to global warming and to some extent arsonists as well). After all too much of anything isn't good and these fires have definitely been excessive to say the least But yes these regenerative benefits are normal from fires and not surprising Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

We're still on fire, there's been a lot of rain but not enough. It's the wind that keeps it going. It's all about rebuilding now and helping communities and people that have lost everything. That is so sad, I wish all the higher powered could like pitch in and bring in extra people, especially fire fighters, that could contain the fires more and more each day until maybe within a few weeks it's just all gone. Our indigenous ancestors have been living with fire for at least 46,000 years. They even invented a unique form of agriculture based around fire and water management.
