Transphobia has been on the rise the past few years and people are getting more and more comfortable with spewing hateful statements because most of the time they don't face consequences for it. It's quite scary, honestly.

It's one thing to have your own opinion on it, another to call others attention seekers for expressing their pronouns. I said it in the james charles thread, and I say it here again. You're definitely hypersensitive. The world does not revolve around you or your trans stuff. Not everything is an attack on you or your trans stuff. Criticizing a trans person or something related to a trans issue is not immediately transphobia. You're just plain wrong so please get a grip on reality and jk rowling is also not transphobic (posting this video, since only a real trans person can probably convince you as a trans person) このジョルノジョヴァンナ夢がある

No one here thinks that and we're simply expressing that what Boy George said is, yes, transphobic and shouldn't be spewed so easily by people. And very bold of you to try and dictate how a trans person should feel about issues that affect them directly and have the audacity to link a Blaire White video when she's time and time again sided with conservatives and stomped over the trans community to seem like "one of the good ones". I just want to say thank you for sticking up for me. You didn't have to but you did because you wanted to. With that being said, this person will now be on my ignore list. And, yes, the audacity to think I would even take Blaire White with her alt-right baiting with an ounce of seriousness. Especially with the highly transphobic view of "That if you don't pass, you fail at being Trans."

The perspective of a queer gender non-conforming individual who grew up rejecting gender norms in a pre-woke culture has value on the issue of gender and pronouns. If it is his opinion that the importance being placed on pronouns is driven in part by attention seeking, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he isn't being transphobic. His clarification (below) makes it clear that his intention was not to show animus to the trans community.
